Happy Teacher's Day!

Yesterday, our school celebrated Hillgrove's Appreciation Day in respond to Teacher's Day. It was a blast of fun indeed as the day started off with all Hillgrovians wearing half-uniform and feeling happy on that particular day. The atmosphere was indeed bright and many packets of presents could be seen bulging out from the bags of many students. Personally for me, I didn't get any presents for any of my teachers. But I think it doesn't matter. I remembered what my old primary school teacher had to say: "Presents or gifts aren't important. What's important is to see the students grow up and learn from their teachers to lead a successful life". So, showering gifts to our teachers are not the only way to reward our teachers. Its for us to study well and show to our teachers that we are capable to do well in our studies that is most important to them. Students being able to capture a teacher's teachings is the best gift a teacher can ever have. Therefore, we should all study hard to impress our teachers! So yeah, moving on, we all proceeded to do our all-awaited ACES workout (featuring the YOG cheer "Oh yeah!") Man, it was a spectacular workout indeed. People went wild and screams of fun and joy were heard. If only someone had recorded the moments, that would be awesome...

Okay... Next? Oh yeah, ITS THE CONCERT OF COURSE!!! I don't have to elaborate further, IT WAS PROBABLY THE BEST CONCERT EVER IN THE HISTORY OF HILLGROVE SECONDARY SCHOOL. PERFORMANCES BY THE DANCE GROUP, THE SINGING AND THE SONGS SECTION WERE A HIT!!! BUT ONE ITEM STANDS OUT FROM THE REST: THE BAND BIONICS SPECIALLY FORMED BY OUR VERY OWN TEACHERS. Their sensational singing and music were a top favorite amongst us students as it came as a big surprise to know that our very own teachers had talents! They really should come up with a 'Band CCA'. I'm sure loads will join in this CCA. They performed "Don't Stop Believing" from the popular TV-series 'Glee' and another in which I have forgotten. After the song ended, the crowd went wild for an encore. And what could the teachers do, than to heed with our requests. They performed the first song again and that was that. In the end, like I said before, it was the best happy ending to that. Really, what better way to celebrate our wonderful teacher's and their hard work. So thus with this, I wish all teachers out there A VERY HAPPY TEACHER'S DAY!!! :D
