Singapore's moment to shine - The Inaugural Youth Olympic Games!

Woohoo! The long-awaited Youth Olympic Games in Singapore has started! On the 14 of August, Singapore and many nations gathered on the floating platform to witness the opening ceremony of the Youth Olympic Games, an essential part of an utmost important event in the World's history. It was a spectacular opening indeed and everyone must have enjoyed the performance. Then, on the following days, many games had started. Battles to win glory for their country was witnessed and triumphs, hardships, and true strengths were revealed as the youths beat it out on their competitive sport they represent in. Friendships prosperred and memories were shared. Truly these youth olympiads will not forget these memories they fostered in the years to come. As of now, Singapore currently won three medals for three different sports; one of them being Singapore's first Silver medal in the olympic history. Well done Team Singapore! You have done us proud! More matches of events will be up next so do stay tuned and support our very own Team Singapore in the hopes of winning another medal for Singapore!

That aside, I apologise in the delay of the frequency of updates. I have been busy these few weeks, so school work is partially to blame. But not to worry, this blog will not die as long as I'm around to keep it fresh and active. So the school's been actively participating in the YOG and showed its support for this, as can be proofed of the setting up of the YOG standee near the Main staircase of our school. Also, many other important events occured in our school such as the National Day Parade. Do visit our school website at http://www.hillgrovesec.moe.edu.sg/ and read uo more on the recent events that happened. I guess there's not really much to talk about, so I'll end here with a funny video I found on YouTube. Happy watching!
