Fun time with China students!

On Friday, our school welcomed 20 students from Xian 38th High School, China. They were here for an Immersion Exchange Programme with our school to learn more about our diverse culture and way of life. They were also here to see how we Singaporeans go about doing our daily lives in school and how we study. For some of us who were lucky enough to go to China for the study fieldtrip, we would agree that the education system there is as equally tough as here in Singapore. Though they might be a syllabus lower than us, their school hours are incredibly long. But still, the students there are keen on learning, thus they are not bothered by the long hours of school. In case some of you have no idea on how long their school hours are, I can say school starts at 7.30a.m. (Singapore and China time) to about 4p.m (and this excludes their Co-curricular activities). If we were to study there, I know many of us will sure dread as the time goes by. That's why we should treasure school and take on our studies seriously.. Besides, if they passionate about studying for their future, why not us, as Singaporean sudents?

So, moving on, yesterday, I went out on an outing with Jean and Xiao Min to treat their buddies some local delicacies and buy them some gifts. First, Jean and I head to Westmall to buy some gifts for her buddy while waiting for Xiao Min. After half an hour of shopping, Xiao Min finally arrived. Jean (so-called) lectured Xiao Min for being late, and then we all headed out to Club CSC that was located nearby. There, we played bowling for the very first time. But I gotta say, after ten whole rounds, the winner was none other than, me! Talk about professionalism at first try hehe... Then, we headed back to Westmall to grab some lunch before heading to Bugis. So then we went to a certain place where the street was abuzz with Singaporeans and tourists alike. Apparently, it was a shopping district and none could resists the offer the stalls were giving. So the girls went on screaming like hell and bought anything girls would buy (wallet, handbag, watches, and yup, you name it. Girls...). Amazingly, the China pupils joined in for some fun! Okay, so I just followed them from behind to make sure they don't get lost. After about an hour or two, we finally decided to head back home. But Jean and Xiao Min still had dinner afterwards, so we went on our own ways. Instead, I went home while they had dinner. All in all, the day was fun. Finally get to do something rather than staying at home and die of boredom... And here I have a picture of Xiao Min's buddy. Apparently she's just 13 (or 14) years old. Young huh? Apparently I was too late to take a picture of Jean's buddy...

Updates!

Its been approximately three months since I've written the last post. I've waited for you guys to provide me with your new updated blog links, but sadly, only two people gave me their new updated blog links. Both Rui Ling and Francesca (thanks guys!) provided their links through the chatbox as you guys can see. I had to manually search for you guys' links through trial and error (don't ask me how) and I've managed to get a few (you guys can try it out from the links I've provided). Please do visit this blog and check whether I've updated the links correctly. If there's any mistakes, do email me at 1e2unite@gmail.com or leave a tag through the chatbox. This way, we can still be connected though we may be apart. We should maintain this spirit of SOTONG-ness as this is what we all wanted from the beginning, remember? I bet Mrs. Fadriel also wished for this to happen. So do update your links and stay connected as one; thSOTONGS!

Okay so moving on, remember that I used to post articles or videos from the Internet or YouTube. Yeap, I'll be continuing this service again from now onwards so as to liven up this blog. I'll also be posting any other interesting topics from the local region or from around the world. So expect some new fresh contents now and then. Oh, almost forgot, do post your class photos here too! I will post a photo of my class here later below. Do email me your class photos (if you have any) and share it with the world (see how your friends have grown up too)! I hope to see replies soon this time! :D

And my personal favourite, Annoying Orange!
